Audio Playground 1

Audio Playground 1

Above is my second ever podcast that I have done. For the first one I interviewed a peer, however this podcast had a totally different script. My prompt for this podcast was to make a 1-minute audio tour of a place I know well, for one specific person. I choose to pick the campus center gymnasium during cheer practice and dedicate it to future nor’easter cheerleaders. I really enjoyed this project, my love for cheer it bigger than my heart, so to combine the two makes it 100x more enjoyable. For my recordings, I had clip of my coach counting, and then an uncut audio of the description itself. In GarageBand, there wasn’t much editing for me to do. I had to download a video from my phone of my coach counting, and cut it to the correct length that I felt sounded best. Then I added my tour of the campus center during cheer practice and lowered the volume of my voice. Ironically, I was at a cheer competition earlier in the day that I decided to record, so my voice sounded a bit raspy in the audio and I tried to manage that. Something that I think I was good at was really painting the picture, and allowing my listeners to feel like they are at the University of New England’s cheerleading practice. Thanks for listening, I hope you enjoyed!
